Bill Buckland is a well-known figure in the South Florida fishing community. He owns and operates The Fisherman’s Center, one of the top tackle stores in the Palm Beach area and is known for building some of the best custom fishing rods in the business. His personal boat is a 39 Invincible, on which he and his family travel and fish around the South Florida area and in the Bahamas.
“I built a 39-foot Invincible center console in 2019,” Buckland said. “We mainly use it to do Bahamas trips. We regularly go over to fish, dive and cruise. The nice thing about this boat is it holds 575 gallons of fuel, so it has great range. We do a lot of long weekend trips to West End and the Walkers/Grand Cay area. But some of the longer trips have been to Staniel Cay in the Exumas, Andros, Eleuthera, Harbor Island and lots of summers to the Abacos.
“One trip that we really enjoyed was going through the Okeechobee Waterway to the west coast of Florida,” Buckland continued. “Then we went down to Key West, doing day trips to the Marquesas Keys and the Dry Tortugas. We came back to Key Largo, and then home to Jupiter.”
Buckland recently repowered the boat with new triple 400 hp V10 Mercury outboards, so it’s ready for whatever adventure comes next!
