New Boats: EdgeWater 250CC

By John Brownlee

EdgeWater Boats recently debuted the all-new 250CC, a center console built for the family that fishes together. The boat measures 26 feet, 3 inches overall, making it one of the larger center consoles in its class, but a beam of 8 feet, 6 inches keeps the 250CC legal to trailer in all 50 states.

EdgeWater’s proprietary Single-Piece Infusion (SPI) construction process creates an unsinkable hull with exceptional strength, rigidity, and ride quality, meaning the boat is engineered to perform in tough conditions so owners can go farther and fish harder. Fishermen will like the in-deck rod storage, rocket launchers, and a port-side dive door for easy boarding and landing big fish. The 250CC provides lots of storage space to keep gear organized and decks clear, while versatile seating layouts make it perfect for fishing trips or family cruises.

The boat comes standard with a pull-out transom seat for passengers and there’s also raw and freshwater washdown, with a 19-gallon freshwater tank. A 28-gallon transom livewell keeps baits frisky, and a white Yamaha F350 with integrated DES provides standard power. The T-top comes with a powder-coated frame, and the hard top has LED lighting built in. A head is standard, as is Garmin digital switching, and the Seakeeper Ride system is included as well. And for anchoring, there’s a standard anchor windlass, a 22-pound stainless-steel anchor, and 200 feet of rode with 15 feet of chain.

Notable options include seven different hull colors you can choose from, several upscale Garmin electronic packages, Yamaha’s Helm Master system with autopilot and you can also opt for twin F200s in place of the single F350. Sirius/XM Weather can be added, as can Taco outriggers, forward and aft shade systems, and several Fusion stereo systems, among many other items.

The 250CC comes well equipped and ready to fish making it a great choice for families looking for a quality mid-size boat that can work and play equally well. EdgeWater Boats; ewboats.com
