Chittum Boatworks, known for producing top quality, highly technical shallow-water skiffs, will begin production of its very first bay boat design in the spring of 2026. The 24 Bay will deliver the technical precision all Chittum models are known for but will bring offshore capabilities to the mix as well.
The boat will be rated for up to 500 hp and will offer superior efficiency because of its vacuum infused design, full carbon laminates and three-piece construction. The 24 Bay will also feature oversized spray rails and a no-slap hull that can float in as little as 14 inches, depending on which outboard you select. Oversized walk-around gunwales contain integrated rod storage capable of accommodating both fly rods and conventional tackle, and the console can handle MFDs up to 22 inches.
“This bay boat is truly exceptional,” said Charlie Johnson, Chittum’s VP of Commercial Operations. “It carries all the defining characteristics of our skiffs, like lightweight construction, speed, quiet operation, class-leading rod storage, and an uncompromising ride, while still being capable of effectively fishing deep water. It will be the choice of serious anglers looking for a single platform that can chase redfish in skinny water one day and run offshore the next.” Chittum Boatworks; chittumskiffs.com
