New Boats: Regulator 31

Regulator Marine recently introduced the new Regulator 31, which features new design innovations and next-generation technology, combined with the quality construction and exceptional ride characteristics fishermen have come to expect from Regulator.

Twin 450 hp Yamaha XTO outboards with Helm Master EX serve as standard power. The 31 shares many of the innovative standards introduced on the Regulator 35, including a new T-Top design, an E-Hub lithium battery system, and a raised bullnose toe rail, along with options such as E-Series mezzanine seating and luxe teak styling.

Key standard features include an updated T-top design with a patent-pending ventilation system with two directional vents at the radio box and one large center vent for maximum air distribution and mist elimination. The drainage gutters and integrated handrail manage water flow to prevent water from cascading off the top while providing secure, comfortable handholds. The raised bullnose toe rail runs along the outer edge of the forward gunwales to give the 31 a classic sport-fish look, while also providing an added safety benefit to anglers and crew as they set their feet on the forward deck to drop anchor or make a cast.

An E-Hub lithium battery system powers a gyro, pumps and electrical systems all day without the noise and fumes of a generator, and a factory-installed Garmin Offshore Package features twin 17-inch GPSMAP 9217XSV Multi-Touch Displays, a VHF 215 AIS Radio, a GMR 434 xHD 4kW open-array Radar, an Airmar B275LHW transducer w/ Wide Beam 1kW CHIRP technology, and a Regulator MyHelm Interface for seamless and intuitive connectivity of key functions via touchscreen. There’s also a dedicated MyHelm key fob for main power and lighting circuits. Seakeeper Ride comes standard as well, plus there’s a transom livewell, a starboard dive door, a quick-connect engine flush system, a black flush-mount electronics surface w/ an LED glass touch control panel, magnetic cushions and more.

“The new Regulator 31 builds on everything our owners love about this model, while incorporating the technology, comfort, and features that represent the next generation of our boats,” said Joan Maxwell, president and co-founder of Regulator Marine. “The new 31 looks ahead while staying true to everything the Regulator name stands for – quality, performance, and the ride owners have trusted for nearly 40 years.”

Options include a Seakeeper 2 gyro, heated helm seats, Gemlux outrigger bases, teak ladderback chairs, a faux-teak helm pod, a 31-branded helm footrest pad, plus E-Series deluxe helm and mezzanine seating w/ built-in armrests. You can also opt for a refrigerated transom fish box, a second livewell, and electric reel plugs.

The 31 offers a large cockpit with room for multiple anglers, 1,400-plus quarts of standard cold storage, and up to 27 rod holders. It can handle family duty too with an adjustable sun bed and pedestal table, a double forward console seat with cooler, and forward and rear sunshades. It’s perfectly capable of serious offshore fishing action or spending the day at the sandbar with family and friends. Regulator Marine; regulatormarine.com
