New Boats: Sailfish 252CC

By John Brownlee

All Sailfish boats feature that company’s innovative Variable Degree Stepped (VDS) hull for a smooth, stable ride. This design optimizes performance and stability, with a deep 24-degree step cutting through waves, a 23-degree running surface for efficiency, and a 22-degree outer step enhancing stability at rest. And Sailfish’s proprietary Sailtech construction incorporates Kevlar, carbon fiber, quad-axial fiberglass mat, and robust Prisma Beam reinforcements, providing long-lasting durability structural integrity in every boat.

The new 252CC is one of the latest deliveries to feature this technology and throws in a great deal of practical fishability to boot. The 252 can be bought with two different aft deck configurations: One version features dual 10-gallon livewells beneath a full-width bench seat, with convenient port and starboard transom access, and the other layout includes a wide, fold-down rear seat and a single 25-gallon livewell to port, as well as a standard oversized port-side dive door with an integrated ladder.

You can choose power options from Mercury, Yamaha or Suzuki, ranging from a single 300 or 400 hp engine to twin 150 or 200 hp power. A full-height glass windshield enclosure and large hardtop provide great protection from weather while also affording excellent visibility from the helm. The console was designed to handle up to dual 16-inch Garmin or Simrad MFDs, providing state-of-the-art navigation, sonar, and engine monitoring.

There’s also a roomy head compartment under the console with a standard porta-potti or an optional electric marine head. There’s seating for two on the front end of the console and forward bow seating as well, with built-in articulating back rests that convert into bolster pads. Notable options include an ergonomic leaning post with dual upholstered captain’s chairs, underwater lights, and a Fusion stereo system.

The 252CC offers tremendous versatility with its two available layouts, making it an excellent choice for the hard-core angler, the family weekend warrior, or both. Sailfish Boats; sailfishboats.com
