NEW BOATS

Grady-White 321 Coastal Explorer

The 321 Coastal Explorer is all about versatility and performance, all in a well-built package.

By John Brownlee

Grady-White Boats never introduces a new model without first doing an exceptional amount of design planning and homework, and the new 321 Coastal Explorer epitomizes that philosophy in every way possible. Grady-White has managed to engineer a dazzling degree of innovation into a mere 32 feet, quite an amazing accomplishment!

First Look

This boat will do a great many things well, from hardcore fishing to luxurious family cruising. A unique set of well-executed design features make this possible, including:

  • Dual electromechanically folding port and starboard sport decks(dive doors) with boarding ladders
  • An aft facing elevated deluxe mezzanine seat with flip-up bolster, with hideaway storage
  • A large bow casting platform with cushions and infinitely adjustable electric backrests
  • A forward console lounge with contoured cushion and folding armrests with 134-qt. cooler below
  • A standard T-top with radio box, storage net, LED spreader lights, rod holders, LED recessed lights, radar flat, and outrigger plates
  • Three lean bar-mounted Command Elite horizontally adjustable helm chairs with deluxe cushioning, flip-up bolsters, and fold-down armrests and footrests
  • Port and starboard aft 18-gal. livewells
  • A lockable head console with indirect and vanity lighting, a sink with pull out shower and wall mount holder, mirror, bulk storage, Vacu-Flush® head, and composite teak-and-holly sole

Power and Performance

The ergonomically designed helm features a space-age look that would be equally at home on an aircraft, with room for two 19-inch MFDs.  Power comes from twin F350 Yamahas with standard Helm Master EX and Siren Marine Connected Boat Monitoring System. And as with all Grady-Whites, the legendary SeaV2 hull design provides a fast, smooth ad dry ride

In addition to a lengthy standard equipment list, notable options include a bow thruster, a Seakeeper 2, outriggers, and a SureShade electrically retractable Sunbrella cockpit shade.

In terms of being an amazingly versatile boat, this might be the most well-engineered 32 on the water!
