Dox-Sea Charters is a father/son veteran owner charter service run by Capt. Lance Shaughnessy and his father Bob in Stuart, Florida. Their boat is a new 25-footer from Latitude Tournament Boats (LTB) in Fort Myers, Florida. LTB builds solid, hardcore fishing boats that have quickly become a favorite of serious Florida fishermen. These wood-free boats are built using hand-laid fiberglass, foam-filled stringers and transoms cored with Coosa board for superior strength. The semi-custom approach at LTB allows buyers to build a boat their way, with wide ranging options in terms of tackle storage, tops, and electronics.
The Shaughnessy’s offer inshore fishing utilizing live-baiting techniques targeting the various species that migrate throughout the year. One of their favorite times is during the annual fall mullet run. They also offer offshore fishing off Stuart, which is known as the Sailfish Capital of the World, where they utilize different fishing techniques, depending on time of year, including dredge fishing, planer fishing and kite fishing. During spring and summer, they also make trips to the east side of the Gulf Stream to fish for yellowfin tuna, dolphin, wahoo and marlin. They also specialize in sandbar and river cruises along our beautiful waters of the Indian and St. Lucie River.
